Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information basefloor (operated by Smoshy Inc.) collects about you, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: April 21, 2026
1. What we collect
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, profile details, and class listings — and information generated as you use the Service, including classes you enrol in, sessions you attend, and messages you send during a session.
For paid classes, we collect payment information through Stripe. For live sessions, we process video and audio you choose to broadcast through LiveKit.
2. How we use it
We use your information to operate basefloor: to authenticate you, deliver classes, process payments, send you reminders and receipts, respond to support requests, detect abuse, and improve the Service. We don't sell your personal information.
3. Third parties
basefloor relies on a small number of trusted providers:
- Supabase — account authentication and identity.
- Stripe — payment processing for paid classes.
- LiveKit — real-time video and audio for live sessions.
- Analytics provider — aggregate product usage analytics.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy, and we share only the information needed for them to deliver their service to us.
4. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies: those strictly necessary for basefloor to work (signing you in, keeping you signed in), and basic analytics to understand how the product is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
5. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specific retention windows vary by data type and are subject to change.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us at the address below.
7. Children's privacy
basefloor is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it. For users aged 13–17, parental or guardian consent is required before signing up.
